Business Operations Manager at IT & Climate NGO (Remote, Namibia/Botswana | English)

• Take ownership of OET's operational management system, including ISO27001 management, business compliance, risk mitigation, governance, vendor management, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Maintain and improve operational processes, documentation, and governance to ensure efficiency and scalability as the organization grows.
• Coordinate annual ISO audits, manage risk registers, oversee vendor reviews, and drive operational improvements across the organization.

This role ensures that Open Energy Transition operates effectively and compliantly, enabling the organization to scale its impact on the global energy transition by making open-source energy planning tools the standard by 2030.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in business operations, operational excellence, governance, compliance, project management, or similar roles.
• Experience maintaining operational processes, governance documentation, and compliance records; experience with ISO management systems or similar standards.
• Strong project management, organizational, and written communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience managing vendors and external service providers; continuous improvement mindset.
