Technical Program Manager, Research

• Take complex technical programs from idea to delivery, scoping plans and milestones while keeping multi-team work efficient and transparent.
• Prioritize across competing demands in partnership with research teams to focus on highest-impact work.
• Build and maintain compute and resource roadmaps, surfacing bottlenecks and accelerating progress.
• Partner with researchers to package and transfer findings, methods, and tools to frontier labs and stakeholders.

This role directly enables breakthrough AI safety research by ensuring researchers and engineers can move faster, ultimately helping to mitigate risks from advanced AI and ensure it benefits everyone.

• Strong technical background in ML, software engineering, or scientific/research field with 4+ years building technical programs from scratch.
• Practical domain experience in AI/ML such as coordinating model releases, managing datasets, or supporting evaluations.
• Track record of delivering complex technical programs while managing tradeoffs and strategic priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation: USD 125,000–190,000 depending on experience. Exceptional candidates may be offered more. Remote U.S. or Bay Area in-office. Full-time with 10% travel. Visa sponsorship available.
