How to Apply for IT Program & Enablement Manager Flexible within the US, (Northeast preferred)

at AJC

🏢 About AJC

AJC is a global advocacy organization with a mission to protect Jews and Israel, operating in over 110 countries. Working here means contributing to meaningful work that combats antisemitism and strengthens Jewish communities worldwide. The organization values collaboration, innovation, and impact, offering a unique opportunity to blend technology with a compelling social mission.

About This Role

This role is the backbone of IT operations at AJC, managing a portfolio of concurrent initiatives across applications, data, infrastructure, and security. You'll directly enable technology adoption and process improvements, ensuring IT projects align with organizational goals. The impact is significant: you'll help modernize and secure AJC's technology landscape to support its global advocacy work.

💡 A Day in the Life

Your day might start with a stand-up meeting with IT leads to review project statuses and address blockers. You'll then dive into updating OKR trackers, followed by a working session to plan a Power Platform rollout, including creating training materials. After lunch, you might meet with a regional office to gather requirements for a new tool, then end the day by documenting project milestones and updating stakeholders.

🎯 Who AJC Is Looking For

  • You have 5+ years of project/program management experience, ideally in nonprofit or mission-driven environments, with a track record of managing multiple IT initiatives simultaneously.
  • You are hands-on with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI tools, comfortable supporting rollouts, migrations, and user adoption without needing deep engineering skills.
  • You excel at translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and can lead planning sessions, OKR setting, and operational tracking.
  • You are highly organized, proactive, and thrive in a remote, collaborative environment, with a Northeast time zone preference for alignment.

📝 Tips for Applying to AJC

1

Highlight any experience with nonprofit or advocacy organizations, especially if you've worked on projects related to community engagement or global operations.

2

Showcase specific examples of managing IT portfolios with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, including any adoption or migration projects.

3

Emphasize your ability to work independently in a remote setting, with examples of how you stay organized and communicate across time zones.

4

Tailor your resume to include OKR or annual planning experience, as the role involves supporting operational planning.

5

In your cover letter, explicitly mention why AJC's mission resonates with you and connect your technical skills to their advocacy work.
