Mission

What you will drive

  • Build durable organizing infrastructure through Public School Strong (PSS) by establishing statewide organizing committees and multiracial coalitions to protect and strengthen public education.
  • Support individual leaders and organizations to build school district teams of educators, students, parents, and community members across Oregon and other western states.
  • Develop campaign strategy and expand base through prospecting, phonebanking, canvassing, digital outreach, one-on-ones, coaching, and facilitating workshops and public events.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Three or more years of experience building education/community/labor/political organizing campaigns.
  • At least one year of experience designing and facilitating training and workshops.
  • Strong understanding of public education organizing and narrative change, with experience leading community organizing and advocacy campaigns.
  • Excellent public speaking, facilitation, and training skills; ability to explain race-explicit content and synthesize complex concepts.
