Grant Writer

• Research and identify new grant funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other agencies.
• Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept notes, and progress reports aligned with FAMM's criminal justice reform priorities.
• Manage grant compliance, tracking, and database updates in EveryAction.
• Collaborate with development and financial staff to ensure accurate budgets and reporting.

This role directly supports FAMM's mission to end mass incarceration and reform mandatory minimum sentencing by securing funding for advocacy, policy change, and public education efforts that reduce the human and financial costs of counterproductive sentencing policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven grant writing experience with a track record of securing small, medium, and large grants.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor databases.
• Ability to translate complex justice system issues into persuasive narratives.

Competitive hourly rate or per-project fee based on experience. Fully remote, flexible schedule. Initial contract term of 3-6 months with potential for extension.
