What you will drive
- Help set Base's government affairs strategy at the state and local level, building relationships with regulators and stakeholders to expand operations.
- Monitor legislative efforts across the country, assess business-model impact, and translate findings into recommendations.
- Draft legislation, testimony, comment letters, and position papers; manage external lobbyists and advocacy partners.
- Build coalitions with industry groups, consumer advocates, and other stakeholders to advance policy positions on distributed energy resources.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or lobbying with a track record of advancing legislation.
- Deep knowledge of state legislative processes and existing relationships with legislators or stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple state workstreams and outside lobbyists.
