Global Program Director

• Lead the architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of AFC's program portfolio across the U.S. and Africa.
• Translate organizational strategy into clear annual and quarterly plans with defined ownership, timelines, and measures of progress.
• Directly manage a geographically distributed program team, setting expectations and holding regular coaching and performance conversations.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to connect program strategy with staffing, budgets, and operational systems.

This role directly helps people impacted by cancer navigate the emotional complexities of their experience, providing skills, support, and community to reclaim their lives and move forward meaningfully.

• Significant experience leading programs within a nonprofit, NGO, patient advocacy, global health, or social impact organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs from strategy through delivery and improvement.
• Experience directly managing and coaching staff, including setting expectations and addressing performance concerns.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex information into clear plans and recommendations.

Salary: $110,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on experience. U.S.-based remote role with flexible hours across time zones. Some international travel required.
