Fundraising Consultant

Core responsibilities:

• Work with the President and other CDT staff to expand and implement CDT's fundraising strategy
• Research, identify, cultivate, and solicit commitments from prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and other philanthropic entities
• Assist with grant writing and report writing
• Manage the production and logistics of fundraising, outreach, and cultivation events, including briefings and privately hosted dinners

This role helps bring marginalized and censored voices from China to the world by securing funding for a bilingual non-profit media organization that amplifies these perspectives globally.

Required skills and experience:

• At least three years fundraising experience with a proven track record of success
• Specialization in the human rights field preferred
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a small team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

This is a part-time consulting position for six months with the possibility for extension. We offer competitive compensation.
