Key Responsibilities Donor Cultivation : Researching, identifying, and building relationships with new individual and corporate prospects. Stewardship : Maintaining consistent contact with current donors to report on how their money is being used. Campaign Execution : Leading annual giving appeals, digital crowdfunding, or multi-year capital campaigns. Event Oversight : Planning and executing charity galas, donor dinners, and community awareness events. Compliance Reporting : Ensuring all donations comply with local and international tax laws and non-profit regulations. Required Qualifications Established Philanthropic Network : A pre-existing network or deep connections within local charitable and corporate communities or donors Certifications : Professional credentials like the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) highly boost hiring chances but still even if you don't have it apply. Software Skills : Practical experience using donor management software like Raiser's Edge , Salesforce NPSP , or Neon CRM . Experience : A proven track record of 2–3 years in fundraising, sales, account management, or community organizing. Advanced Writing Skills : Mastery of grant proposal writing, corporate sponsorship decks, and persuasive marketing copy Strategic & Behavioral Qualifications Resilience and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) : Ability to handle persistent rejection while keeping an optimistic, positive attitude with potential donors. Discretion and Confidentiality : Strict adherence to ethics regarding sensitive financial and personal data of high-net-worth individuals Public Speaking & Storytelling : Confidence in delivering high-impact presentations and pitches to large boards or groups of executives. Prospect Research Capability : Skill in investigating and identifying the financial capacity and philanthropic interests of potential donors.
