Fractional Finance Lead

• Provide high-level financial oversight, compliance management, and strategic financial clarity for the organization.
• Serve as primary internal liaison to outsourced accounting firm, review monthly financial statements, and ensure accurate monthly close.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and prepare financial materials for Board and Finance Committee meetings.
• Manage multi-state employer tax compliance, maintain compliance calendar, and strengthen internal financial controls.

This role ensures the financial integrity and sustainability of an organization dedicated to supporting formerly incarcerated college graduates, enabling them to achieve economic mobility and social reintegration.

• 5+ years of nonprofit financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Experience managing or coordinating with outsourced accounting firms and overseeing multi-state employer compliance.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets; CPA preferred.

Retainer-based independent contractor engagement at $2,300/month, capped at 32 hours per month. Initial 6-month term, renewable. Flexible schedule and remote work.
