Position Summary:

The Field Operations Technician (FOT) is an entry-level position responsible for completing all events assigned to

them each day. This role is tasked with completing various tasks for getting each project through the installation,

inspection, and energization phases. Additionally, the FOT I communicates with customers to assess needs and

issues, coordinates with corporate office representatives for feedback and scheduling questions, and ensures that

all assigned work is completed and documented accurately and efficiently. FOT I is expected to be able to handle up

to 5 events per day and should not have more than 2 inspection failures attributed solely to their actions (or lack

thereof) in any 3 month period. FOT I should be able to complete the work and meet the requirements as listed

below.

Essential Duties:

• Complete all assigned daily events, including tasks related to installation, inspection preparation, and

energization

• Perform on-site work such as equipment checks, documentation, system verification, and basic

troubleshooting

• Ensure that all assigned field tasks meet quality standards and are completed within expected timeframes

• Prepare systems for inspections by verifying readiness, performing corrections, and ensuring required

materials are on-site

• Document any site issues or risks that may affect inspection outcomes or system performance

• Accurately document all work performed, including photos, notes, and required forms

• Provide professional and courteous support during all customer interactions

• Work closely with corporate office representatives, schedulers, and project managers to coordinate event

timing, updates, and required documentation

• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies while performing field workMinimum Qualifications:

• Entry-level experience in solar, construction, electrical work, field service, or related technical fields

• Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures

• Ability to complete multiple field events per day and maintain productivity standar

• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and office staff

• Strong attention to detail to prevent inspection failures and ensure site readiness

• Basic problem-solving ability to handle on-site challenges

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Capable of climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working on rooftops (if required by company)

• Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting

or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office

products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to

adjust focus.
