Fellow, Applied AI (6 months, full-time)

• Implement AI solutions across the Foundation by assessing current tools, designing maintainable systems, and building AI-powered workflows and automations.
• Drive AI adoption and organizational capability by serving as an internal AI champion, developing resources, and facilitating training sessions.
• Partner with teams to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that improve workflows, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness.

This role will help the GitLab Foundation leverage AI to increase efficiency and effectiveness in grantmaking, impact measurement, and operations, ultimately enabling more resources to be directed toward high-impact economic mobility solutions.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building software, internal tools, data pipelines, AI-powered workflows, or automations.
• Strong technical skills including Python and/or JavaScript, APIs, structured data, and building beyond no-code tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Highly organized, self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and aligned with GitLab Foundation's CREDIT values.

Six-month full-time fellowship with potential to transition into permanent role. Fully remote position based in the U.S. Compensation details not specified.
