Executive Director

• Build and execute a strategic plan to achieve federal AI legislation by 2030.
• Recruit, build, and manage high-performing teams across Operations, Program, Policy, and Communications.
• Lead day-to-day organizational execution across c3/c4 entities, ensuring coordination and timely delivery.
• Represent the organization publicly and build strategic partnerships with aligned organizations, funders, and coalitions.

This role will build a left-of-center grassroots movement to ensure the public decides how AI shapes our future, protecting fundamental freedoms and preventing catastrophic risks from unaccountable corporations.

• Senior leadership experience with a builder mindset and ability to turn a mandate into a high-performing organization.
• Strategic and political judgment with demonstrated experience building power through movements.
• Team management skills with ability to set goals, drive performance, and hold teams accountable.
• Commitment to AI policy and belief in the need for federal AI legislation that protects and benefits Americans.

Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision fully covered for employee and dependents, generous PTO. Location: Washington, DC preferred but fully remote team. Travel: domestic 4-5x per quarter.
