Executive Director

• Provide daily management of the organization with a small staff, ensuring operational continuity and financial oversight.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including pharmaceutical partners, clinicians, patients, and peer organizations.
• Prioritize fundraising to grow programming and services for the community.
• Oversee and report on the organization’s activities for the board of directors, and coordinate annual budget evaluation and development.

This role directly improves the quality of life for the inheritable bleeding disorders community in Illinois by ensuring access to unbiased information, resources, education, advocacy, and community support.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5-7+ years of leadership experience in a nonprofit setting.
• Proven successful experience in fundraising, budgeting, and organizational management.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities; excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Financial acumen and operational management expertise; ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Salary: $90,000+ per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid vacation days, paid sick days, stipend for health insurance, and possible stipend/reimbursement for remote work expenses including technology expenses.
