How to Apply for Event Management Partner
at We Build Progress
๐ข About We Build Progress
We Build Progress and Progressive Caucus Action Fund are 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits that sit at the nexus of policy, advocacy, and movement building. They are uniquely positioned to advance progressive causes through strategic events that bring together elected officials, policymakers, and grassroots leaders. Working here means contributing to high-impact events that shape the progressive agenda.
About This Role
As Event Management Partner, you will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a national summit in Washington, DC, for 300+ attendees. This role is critical for ensuring that the summit runs smoothly, integrates accessibility and equity, and serves as a platform for high-level policy discussions. You'll be the operational linchpin between the venue, vendors, and participants.
๐ก A Day in the Life
A typical day might start with a check-in call with the hotel venue to review room setups and AV requirements. You'll then coordinate with vendors (catering, signage, registration) and handle last-minute requests from the policy team. Afternoon could involve updating the event app, managing attendee inquiries, and preparing briefing materials for VIP participants. Onsite, you'll be troubleshooting any issues, ensuring accessibility features are in place, and briefing volunteers.
