How to Apply for Energy Efficiency Account Manager

at Energy Solutions

🏢 About Energy Solutions

Energy Solutions is a mission-driven consulting firm that has been designing and implementing market-based energy efficiency programs since 1995. They partner with utilities, governments, and institutions to deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water savings, making a tangible environmental impact. Working here means joining a supportive, energetic culture where you contribute directly to climate solutions.

About This Role

As an Energy Efficiency Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and other market actors participating in midstream and market-facing energy efficiency programs. Your day-to-day involves providing program information, resolving participation issues, and executing outreach plans to drive program performance. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between program design and on-the-ground participation, directly influencing energy savings.

💡 A Day in the Life

You might start your day with a virtual check-in with your team, then make calls to distributors to explain new program incentives. Later, you could research a participation issue raised by a contractor and coordinate with internal teams to resolve it. You'll also document your outreach activities and report on progress toward program goals.

🎯 Who Energy Solutions Is Looking For

  • Experience in energy efficiency, utility program implementation, or a related field, with a strong understanding of midstream/market-facing program dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders such as manufacturers, distributors, and contractors.
  • Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing outreach activities remotely and following defined engagement plans.
  • Analytical mindset to research participation issues and report observations to improve program performance.
