What you will drive
- Plan, generate, direct freelance writers, and edit AI-specific content tailored to the pressing challenges cities face.
- Oversee the goals and creative vision for the weekly newsletter, including the development and maintenance of a comprehensive editorial calendar.
- Systematically track the global AI research and policy landscape, translating complex developments into compelling, actionable intelligence for city leaders.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with leaders and networks advancing innovation in cities to source and develop impactful content.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- At least 10 years of experience in journalism (reporting and/or editing) or communications focused on technology, AI, urban policy, and/or government innovation.
- Ability to balance editorial rigor with organizational priorities, stakeholder engagement, and executive audience needs.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex policy and technology developments into concise, actionable insights for senior decision-makers.
- Excellent judgment and ability to navigate nuanced policy, political, and institutional environments with professionalism and discretion.
