Mission

What you will drive

  • Lead policy strategy and development to advance racial equity across local, state, and federal levels using a whole-of-government approach.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with national intermediaries, advocacy networks, and government partners to align policy efforts with racial justice movement strategies.
  • Develop research, reports, and practical tools that translate policy analysis into accessible resources for advocates and policymakers.
  • Manage cross-departmental projects, support fundraising, and contribute to strategic direction within the Place, Policy, and Power department.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • At least 8 years of experience in racial equity policy advocacy, government practice, or movement-building/organizing/campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of policy development and implementation across local, state, and federal government, with knowledge of racial equity and democracy-strengthening frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to support multi-stakeholder groups toward alignment and shared strategy.
  • Proven experience in strategic thinking, project management, and designing multiracial, cross-sector groups.
