Director of Justice Relations

• Develop and execute a strategic advocacy plan to elevate awareness and consideration of a federal clemency case.
• Build and leverage relationships with federal stakeholders, oversight bodies, congressional offices, and criminal justice reform organizations.
• Engage national and regional organizations to explore support, partnerships, and advocacy opportunities.
• Represent P.A.L.S. at meetings, conferences, and advocacy events, including in-person meetings in Washington, DC.

This role directly advances the cause of justice by strategically advocating for clemency in a case involving prosecutorial misconduct and racial disparities, potentially setting a precedent for reform and highlighting systemic issues in the federal justice system.

• Significant experience in federal advocacy, government relations, criminal justice reform, clemency advocacy, or public policy.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with policymakers, advocacy organizations, and legal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the federal clemency process and criminal justice reform landscape.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently with high accountability.

Contract engagement with weekly progress reporting and formal 30-day performance review. Contract renewal based on documented efforts and measurable progress. No salary mentioned.
