Director of Agricultural Policy

• Lead U.S. federal policy strategy for Livestock Enteric Methane Mitigation and Agricultural Nitrogen Transformation programs.
• Develop multi-year policy plans, draft legislative language, and engage with Congressional offices, USDA, EPA, and trade associations.
• Advise on state-level and international policy engagement, and represent Spark in policy convenings.

This role directly shapes U.S. federal policy to reduce agricultural super pollutants (methane and nitrous oxide), accelerating progress on two of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and contributing to a safer climate.

• 10+ years of professional experience in agricultural policy, federal government, or related fields (or 8+ years with a Master's degree).
• Demonstrated track record developing and advancing federal agricultural policy, with strong existing network in agricultural policy circles.
• Excellent writing skills, including drafting legislative language and technical policy memos.
• Ability to translate scientific and technical content into credible policy proposals.
