Director, Donor Engagement

• Develop and implement proactive strategies to identify, engage, and steward a pipeline of current and prospective donors capable of making gifts of $25,000+ annually.
• Manage a portfolio of 100-150 major gift prospects and donors, maintaining consistent personal contact to deepen relationships.
• Lead end-to-end execution of high-impact donor events for high-net-worth individuals, including venues, vendors, and guest experience.
• Prepare compelling proposals, briefings, and presentations that inspire major gift commitments.

This role directly supports the growth and strengthening of the Jewish camp movement, enabling camps to deliver exceptional experiences that engage participants in lifelong, joyful Judaism.

• 5+ years of successful major gift experience in a nonprofit organization.
• Proven track record of securing major gifts of five and six figures.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to powerfully speak and write about FJC’s mission.
• Tech-savvy with collaborative tech tools; familiarity with donor database, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Asana a plus.

This role can be remote or based in-person several days per week in our NYC office. Willingness to travel up to 30%.
