How to Apply for Digital Coordinator - Part-Time

at United Today, Stronger Tomorrow

🏢 About United Today, Stronger Tomorrow

United Today, Stronger Tomorrow (UTST) is a mission-driven organization focused on building people-powered movements through digital organizing and paid media. This role is unique because it sits at the intersection of technology and social impact, offering a chance to directly contribute to progressive causes during a critical election period. Working remotely with a passionate team, you'll gain hands-on experience with advanced digital tools like EveryAction and Zapier while helping to scale outreach efforts nationwide.

About This Role

As a part-time Digital Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of UTST's digital operations, ensuring seamless integration between their CRM, paid media, and outreach systems. You'll manage EveryAction administration, build landing pages, set up texting and call campaigns, and support email production—all while collaborating closely with the Communications Director. This role is impactful because your systems-oriented work will directly enable the team to reach more supporters and mobilize action efficiently during a busy three-month sprint.

💡 A Day in the Life

A typical day might start with checking Zapier automations to ensure data from Meta ads is syncing correctly with EveryAction, followed by building a new event page in WordPress. You'll then set up a texting campaign, review scripts with a teammate, and schedule emails for an upcoming outreach push. Throughout, you'll stay responsive on Slack, troubleshoot any CRM issues, and collaborate with the Communications Director to align digital efforts with organizational goals.

🎯 Who United Today, Stronger Tomorrow Is Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience with EveryAction or similar CRM systems, including list management, email setup, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Zapier or similar automation tools to connect data across Meta ads, Google Sheets, and EveryAction.
  • Experience with WordPress for building and updating event, action, and resource pages, with basic HTML/CSS knowledge a plus.
  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer texting platforms (e.g., Hustle, ThruText) and call campaign tools, plus strong copy review skills.

📝 Tips for Applying to United Today, Stronger Tomorrow

1

Highlight specific EveryAction projects you've managed—mention list segmentation, email scheduling, or data syncs—in your resume and cover letter.

2

Demonstrate Zapier expertise by describing a workflow you built that connected multiple apps (e.g., Meta ads to Google Sheets to CRM) and the outcome.

3

Mention your availability for the 12pm–5pm ET window explicitly, as this is a key requirement for the remote role.

4

Show familiarity with UTST's mission by referencing their progressive or organizing focus; generic cover letters won't stand out.

5

Provide examples of how you've supported paid media operations, such as tracking ad performance or managing audiences in Meta Ads Manager.

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

In your cover letter, emphasize your hands-on experience with EveryAction and Zapier, specifically how you've used them to streamline digital operations. Highlight your ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously, such as syncing data between Meta ads and CRMs, and your experience with WordPress page building. Also, stress your availability during the required ET hours and your excitement for supporting a mission-driven organization during a high-stakes period. Finally, mention any peer-to-peer texting or call campaign experience, as this is a core responsibility.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Avoid generic statements about being 'passionate about digital' without tying it to specific tools like EveryAction or Zapier.
  • Don't ignore the part-time nature of the role—applying as if it's full-time or expressing hesitation about the schedule will hurt your candidacy.
  • Steer clear of vague examples; instead, quantify your experience (e.g., 'managed 10,000+ contacts in EveryAction') to show impact.
