Mission
What you will drive
- Assess current development efforts, systems, and funding history to identify gaps and opportunities across foundation, corporate, and individual giving.
- Help shape a clear, focused development strategy and priorities, advising leadership on where to focus limited time and resources.
- Research and surface new funding opportunities, build and maintain a curated prospect pipeline, and identify corporate philanthropy and new funding streams.
- Provide input on grant positioning, framing, and approach, and support early-stage narrative development in collaboration with the Development Coordinator and Admin team.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 5–15+ years in nonprofit development or fundraising strategy, with experience across multiple funding streams (foundation, corporate, individual).
- Track record of building or expanding funding pipelines and strong strategic thinking to identify gaps and opportunities quickly.
- Comfortable operating in small, evolving organizations with ability to balance structure with flexibility.
- Collaborative, values-aligned working style; able to work independently with limited oversight.
Benefits
What's in it for you
Part-time engagement with flat rate pay of $2,050 per month (approximately 10-12 hours per month). Initial 3-month pilot with potential to extend. Flexible hours and structure. Remote work, with preference for Chicago-based candidates.
