Development Manager

• Manage all administrative aspects of fundraising, including grant seeking, research, outreach, and proposal writing.
• Oversee grants management, including performance reporting, budget reconciliation, and compliance.
• Support the organization and management of Next City's efforts to attract and retain individual small donors and improve the membership program.
• Process donations, prepare acknowledgment letters, and produce year-end appeal letters and other donor campaigns.

This role directly ensures Next City has the resources needed to achieve its mission of amplifying marginalized voices, spreading solutions, and ultimately liberating cities from systems and cultures of oppression.

• Experience in fundraising, partner, or sponsorship management.
• Excellent proposal writing skills and experience completing online grant applications.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
