Development Manager (Major Gifts)

• Plan, organize, and implement major giving programs to build and manage a donor pipeline for gifts of $10,000 and up.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors and prospects through research, outreach, and face-to-face meetings.
• Oversee the planned giving program and ensure timely donor acknowledgment and stewardship.
• Collaborate with FARA leadership and Board to achieve fundraising goals and provide regular progress reports.

This role directly supports the mission to fund and facilitate research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia, a rare neurodegenerative disease, by securing major gifts that accelerate scientific breakthroughs.

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE designation preferred.
• Minimum five years of fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gift fundraising ($10k+).
• Proficiency with donor management software (Blackbaud products, iWave) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
