Development Associate

• Manage and strengthen fundraising operations, including institutional and individual giving.
• Coordinate discretionary funding available through elected officials.
• Implement systems, timelines, and strategies for sustainable growth.
• Support day-to-day execution and long-term fundraising planning in collaboration with the Executive Director and board.

This role directly supports the Literary Freedom Project's mission to promote free expression and diverse voices in literature, ensuring the organization can grow sustainably and continue its advocacy for literary freedom.

• Experience in development or fundraising, preferably with small mission-driven organizations.
• Comfortable working remotely and taking ownership of systems and processes.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on tasks with strategic planning.
