Design Engineer I- Electrical (PV & BESS)

• Create electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects.
• Perform design tasks on small projects or portions of larger projects, including one-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and grounding details.
• Participate in equipment specification for PV solar modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, and balance-of-system components.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes under close supervision.

This role directly supports the design of renewable energy systems, contributing to the transition to clean energy and combating climate change.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with extensive electrical coursework.
• Some prior experience (academic or internship) designing and drafting with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NEC codes and standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
