Data Engineer

• Build and maintain data pipelines, models, and infrastructure using Python, SQL, and dbt to power data work across the progressive movement.
• Write SQL and dbt models to transform data in the warehouse, adding new models, refactoring code, writing tests, and improving documentation.
• Collaborate with national and state data staff to build tables, pipelines, and tools that enable effective data-driven work.
• Contribute to data strategy conversations, including adoption of new tools, shared data standards, and engineering best practices.

This role directly supports progressive advocacy and electoral efforts by ensuring data infrastructure enables effective voter outreach, coalition coordination, and policy change, ultimately advancing racial equity and protecting voting rights.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Working experience with Python for data transformation, scripting, or API work.
• Experience using Git and command line tools; previous work on political campaigns or similar high-pressure environments.
• Self-starter mindset with ability to onboard quickly and handle ambiguous problems.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year.
