Cybersecurity & Compliance Administrator

• Operate and continuously improve Xcimer’s security, compliance, and data privacy posture, including day-to-day security operations, CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance, and data privacy program.
• Administer Microsoft Purview and Defender for compliance, data governance, threat protection, and security operations.
• Lead incident response, maintain security plans, and implement threat prevention measures.
• Support on-prem and air-gapped security, including secure data transfer and monitoring architectures.

This role directly supports Xcimer Energy's mission to deploy fusion power plants for global decarbonization by ensuring robust cybersecurity and compliance, protecting critical infrastructure and data, and enabling the company to scale safely and securely.

• 7+ years of experience in security administration, security operations, compliance operations, or adjacent IT roles with direct security responsibility.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 security and compliance services (Purview, Defender) in an enterprise environment.
• Proven background in security incident response, investigation, and documentation in regulated or high-risk environments.
• Working knowledge of system security best practices, access control, secure configuration, and audit logging.
