Controller

• Lead the design and implementation of a financial management system that accurately tracks funding streams and enables monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Guide financial compliance, ensure required audits are performed, and prepare financial statements that fairly represent the organization's financial position.
• Provide technical and operational leadership for accounting staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls to ensure stewardship of public and private investments.

This role ensures that Partners for Rural Impact can effectively steward financial resources to support its mission of ensuring all children in rural places achieve success, thereby creating positive change in underserved rural communities.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA, CMA, or ACCA required.
• 10+ years of mid-to-high level financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, tax management, and accounting operations with multi-million-dollar budgets.
• At least 3 years of people management experience.
• Experience preparing nonprofit financial statements including the 990, and proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Remote work possible with travel required. Normal business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ET. Benefits not specified.
