Controller

• Lead accounting operations and build/coach a high-performing team of 1–3 professionals.
• Own a fast, reliable month-end close and leverage AI/automation to shorten the close cycle.
• Modernize AP, AR, and expense workflows using AI-enabled automation.
• Deliver financial reporting, own revenue recognition (ASC 606), and lead audit readiness.

By leading Afresh's accounting function, you enable the company to scale its AI platform that prevents over 200 million pounds of food waste annually, directly contributing to climate change mitigation and a more sustainable food system.

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in high-growth SaaS or technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
• Track record of using AI, automation, and modern accounting tools to drive efficiency.

Salary: $199,000 - $270,000 per year.
