Contract Grant Writer

• Research and identify grant opportunities from public, private, corporate, and other funding sources.
• Write, edit, and finalize grant proposals aligned with organizational mission and funder priorities.
• Collaborate with staff to develop budgets and ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
• Maintain a grants calendar and provide regular updates on submissions and deadlines.

This role directly supports wildlife protection and conservation by securing funding for Born Free USA's programs, enabling the organization to continue its mission of ending the exploitation of wild animals.

• Proven experience in successfully securing grants from a variety of funding sources.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
• Knowledge of grant-making processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
