Consultant/Search Firm for Executive Director Search

• Facilitate communication between the internal leadership transition committee (LTC) comprising board, staff, and bargaining unit members.
• Develop a leadership profile and spearhead candidate search and job listing promotion with special consideration for member funds.
• Develop a candidate evaluation and screening process aligned with NNAF's mission, vision, and values.
• Collaborate with broader NNAF staff and funds to ensure alignment and input on the next phase of leadership.

This role ensures the selection of a leader who will guide NNAF in advancing abortion access and reproductive justice, strengthening the network of 97 abortion funds that support people seeking abortions, especially in the face of increased bans and restrictions.

• Demonstrated expertise in supporting large-scale executive leadership searches and organizational change processes, particularly within social justice organizations.
• Significant experience supporting organizations in active transition, navigating complex relationships, evaluating internal candidates, and holding possible conflicts of interest.
• Analysis and approach responsive to NNAF's core values of intersectionality, compassion, autonomy, and collective power.
• Ability to facilitate fully or primarily virtual executive search process is strongly preferred.

Total project cost not to exceed $100,000. NNAF is not traveling or hosting any in-person work through at least calendar year 2026. The organization is committed to gender, economic, and racial justice, and actively centers the leadership of people of color and gender diverse individuals.
