Mission

What you will drive

  • Develop an integrated, user-friendly climate and environmental risk toolbox for SOS CV humanitarian programmes, including tools, templates, guidance and annexes.
  • Support SOS CV country offices to apply the ECHO Resilience Marker effectively through practical guidance materials, training package, and delivery of 2โ€“3 targeted trainings.
  • Field-test the toolbox in at least two project locations, document findings, and refine the toolbox based on feedback.

This consultancy will strengthen the climate resilience of child-centred humanitarian programmes, helping protect children from the disproportionate impacts of climate hazards and disasters by enabling programme teams to integrate risk analysis into practical design and implementation decisions.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum five years of professional experience in humanitarian programming, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and/or climate and environmental risk integration.
  • Familiarity with NEAT+, the ECHO Resilience Marker, and relevant environmental or resilience markers and tools.
  • Experience developing practical tools, templates and guidance for programme implementation, and facilitating workshops with field teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English required; French strongly desirable.

Benefits

What's in it for you

Consultancy fee based on daily rate (in EUR) for approximately 35 days over 8โ€“10 weeks. Travel costs reimbursed based on actual expenses with prior approval. Flexible/remote working with field travel.
