Community Impact Associate

• Support community engagement and outreach efforts to build strong relationships with local stakeholders impacted by NineDot's clean energy projects.
• Coordinate outreach activities, including distributing materials, scheduling meetings, maintaining contact lists, and attending community events.
• Track and document community feedback, maintain records in company databases, and collaborate with internal teams to align engagement strategies with project timelines.

This role directly supports the development of community-scale clean energy projects that reduce carbon emissions, strengthen the local power grid, and address environmental justice in New York, contributing to the state's goal of 100% clean energy by 2040.

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, environmental studies, urban planning, political science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional experience in community engagement, organizing, government relations, public affairs, or real estate development.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in data tracking and reporting; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Airtable is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally for community meetings and events (approx. once a week, sometimes on weekends) and interest in renewable energy, environmental justice, and community impact.

Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus and incentive stock options. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage; 5% employer 401k match; 20 paid vacation days, 7 sick days, 9 federal holidays, 3 floating holidays; 12 weeks paid parental leave; $1,000 wellness stipend; 16 volunteer hours plus two company-wide volunteer outings per year.
