Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Develop emotive public-facing content for the LFT website and email communications, including landing pages, videos, graphics, detailed reports, and other unique material to engage and mobilize readers to take action.
- Develop and execute social media strategy to grow the organization's reach and engagement on primary channels (Facebook, Instagram, X) and expand to platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Identify opportunities for the organization to participate in relevant news stories and online conversations by tracking trending topics and hashtags, and respond to comments, questions, mentions, and direct messages.
- Identify and propose opportunities for op-eds, blog posts, or other content to further reach LFT's audience, and liaise with staff in campaigns and investigations to plan and develop upcoming materials.

Required skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in WordPress, graphic design, social media post creation, and video production.
- Proven experience creating emotion-provoking public-facing content in various formats and strategically engaging audiences on different social media platforms through organic posts and data analysis.
- Experience working in a remote team environment and collaborating with colleagues on shared projects, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and communications tools.
- Commitment to working Pacific Time business hours (9 AM - 5 PM) with flexibility for non-traditional hours, and demonstrated commitment to advancing LFT's values, mission, and goals with an understanding of animal welfare advocacy.
