Communications and Social Media Consultant (short-term role)

• Manage a small communications team of content creators and designers, ensuring project timelines and quality.
• Create written social media content including tweets, Substack essays, and copy for visual designs.
• Edit written content to maintain a consistent voice across platforms.
• Contribute to messaging for activist actions or campaigns.

This role amplifies Climate Defiance's activist campaigns, driving urgent climate action through compelling communications and social media engagement.

• Background in activism, nonprofit communications, and/or journalism.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Substack).
• Team and project management skills.

Consulting position at $50-$80 per hour, approximately 20 hours per week. No additional benefits. Short-term contract ending September 15, with potential for long-term role.
