Mission
What you will drive
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, translating financial insights into actionable strategies that support Borealis's mission and long-term growth.
- Lead the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, oversee multi-year financial planning, and track key financial and operational metrics.
- Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, grants accounting, and ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage cash, investments, and risk, including developing investment policies and ensuring compliance with regulations and funder requirements.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA) preferred.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of nonprofit finance, GAAP, fund accounting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and leadership skills with excellent communication abilities.
