Capital Campaign Director

• Lead and manage the multi-phase capital campaign strategy for Building People Power (BPP), including quiet phase cultivation, public launch, and close.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors ($10K+), cultivate and solicit gifts, and coordinate donor engagement across staff and volunteers.
• Align campaign activities with CR's abolitionist values, track progress, manage budget, and report to stakeholders.

This role directly advances the abolitionist movement by securing resources for a community-owned movement hub that will serve as a model for abolitionist economic sovereignty and collective governance.

• 5–7+ years of fundraising experience, including 3+ years in capital campaigns or major gifts.
• Demonstrated success securing six-figure+ gifts and leading multi-stakeholder fundraising.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and writing skills; comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus).
• Deep commitment to prison industrial complex abolition and alignment with CR's values.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000/year. Generous benefits package and flexible PTO plan. Remote work in CA with travel for site visits and events.
