CANCUS Hub Programs Manager

• Develop and implement the programmatic strategy for the CANCUS Hub to engage and recruit new Wikimedia contributors and support existing groups.
• Organize and facilitate community-building events, training, and leadership development programs across the region.
• Manage day-to-day operations, logistics, and program evaluation, including impact tracking and reporting.

This role will strengthen the Wikimedia free knowledge movement by building capacity, fostering collaboration, and increasing diverse content contributions across Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States.

• 3+ years of related experience in the nonprofit sector, social movements, or the Wikimedia movement.
• Program development and management experience with a focus on community building and leadership development.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Deep understanding and alignment with the mission of Wikimedia; experience with Wikimedia platforms or willingness to learn.

$60,000 a year and healthcare benefits. Remote position with some evening and weekend work.

Wikimedia NYC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and local Wikimedia chapter that brings New York together to share in a richer and more representative free knowledge ecosystem. It serves as the supervising organization for the CANCUS Hub, which supports Wikimedia communities across Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States.
