About the Fellowship

Named one of the top professional development programs in climate by Forbes, the Climatebase Fellowship is a global climate career accelerator that aims to deepen Fellows' understanding of leading climate research and climate change solutions. We aim to give Fellows direct exposure to scientists, researchers, and subject-matter experts shaping the climate field, so they're equipped to bring timely knowledge of the climate ecosystem to their communities and future work or ventures.

Cohort 10 (Sept. 8 - Dec. 4) will bring together hundreds of Fellows from 85+ countries, joining our 4,500+ Fellowship alumni community. The Fellows are highly motivated, mission-driven professionals spanning early- to late-career, across diverse sectors.

We're currently seeking subject-matter experts to join Cohort 10's Special Topic Speaker Series, which gives speakers a global stage to share their expertise with a community of climate professionals and career transitioners.

The Opportunity

As an expert guest speaker, you'll lead a live virtual session covering a topic in your area of expertise, followed by a moderated Q&A with Fellows. We provide a speaker brief ahead of time outlining suggested goals for the session, so you'll have full context and support going in.

  • Format: 60-minute live session (25–30 minute presentation with slides, plus moderated Q&A)

  • Schedule: Sessions take place on select Tuesdays, at either 9:00–10:00 AM PT or 10:30–11:30 AM PT

  • Platform: Virtual, hosted on Zoom

  • Audience: Hundreds of Climatebase Fellows, who are motivated professionals transitioning into or advancing within climate careers

General Topics We're Looking For At This Time

We are seeking experts across a range of expertise, including (but not limited to) the following:

    • Renewable energy generation

    • Emerging clean energy technologies

    • Sustainable food systems

    • Regenerative agriculture

    • Scaling funding for CDR solutions

    • Sustainable transportation

    • Urban mobility

    • High-performance buildings

    • Health implications of climate change

    • Waste colonialism

    • Green energy circularity

If your expertise aligns with any of these solutions areas and you’re excited to engage with a global, mission-driven audience, we’d love to hear from you.

Note: If your expertise doesn’t align with these topics, we invite you to fill out our general speaker form here. The topics we cover change every cohort, so we’d be happy to keep you in mind for a future opportunity.
