at Constructive Dialogue Institute

🏢 About Constructive Dialogue Institute

Constructive Dialogue Institute is a non-partisan nonprofit dedicated to equipping the next generation with skills to communicate across differences. Working here means contributing to a mission-driven organization that partners with U.S. colleges and universities to foster constructive dialogue, making a tangible impact on campus culture and democracy.

About This Role

As a Business Development Rep for Higher Ed Partnerships, you'll drive the growth of CDI's impact by identifying and engaging prospective university partners. You'll execute outbound outreach, manage inbound leads, and collaborate with marketing to refine processes, directly contributing to expanding CDI's reach in higher education.

💡 A Day in the Life

Your day might start with reviewing a queue of inbound leads from a recent webinar, then sending personalized follow-up emails. You'll spend the afternoon researching and reaching out to new prospects via cold emails and LinkedIn, tracking all activity in HubSpot. You'll also join a weekly sync with the Partnerships team to align on messaging and share learnings from recent conversations.

🎯 Who Constructive Dialogue Institute Is Looking For

  • Experienced in outbound sales or business development with a proven ability to generate qualified meetings through high-volume outreach (e.g., cold emails, calls).
  • Passionate about higher education and nonpartisan dialogue, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in university partnerships.
  • Highly organized and data-driven, comfortable using CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to track outreach and optimize pipeline management.
  • Excellent written communicator, able to craft compelling messages that resonate with university administrators and faculty.
