What you will drive

The Brand & Content Manager will lead the development and delivery of impactful brand and content strategies that strengthen Oxfam’s global identity, increase engagement and inspire people to join Oxfam’s mission to fight inequality to end poverty and injustice.

This role will maximise Oxfam’s ability to acquire, convert and retain supporters by working across all key markets to ensure creation and co-ordination of meaningful multimedia content. With a digital-first approach, the role will embed Oxfam’s global brand framework across all communications, campaigns and fundraising efforts ensuring consistency, creativity and impact in how we connect with and grow our global movement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Lead the development and implementation of a digital-first global content strategy that supports campaigns, humanitarian emergencies, supporter acquisition and retention across markets.
  • Devise and implement a global content gathering framework that meets audience needs across markets and champions Oxfam’s ethical storytelling guidelines.
  • Develop, maintain and promote Oxfam’s global brand strategy and guidelines.
  • Ensure Oxfam’s brand story and visual identity is implemented consistently across campaigns, communications, and public fundraising.

2. Content Planning, Production and Coordination

  • In collaboration with campaigns, humanitarian and fundraising teams, coordinate and lead content strategies, creative concepts and content gathering plans for Oxfam International.
  • Partner with digital peers to ensure best-in-sector storytelling across Oxfam’s global channels that engages audiences, strengthens brand visibility, and embraces our decolonial feminist values.
  • Lead and support the global Content Group and represent it in relevant global forums.
  • Serve as the first point of contact and coordinator for multi-affiliate content needs, including rapid response in emergencies. Maintain a content generation and management calendar and facilitate collaboration across affiliates.
  • Contribute to analysis of content performance and use this to inform content collection and production.
  • Line manage the Global Digital Asset Manager, and any future global content roles recruited to the team.

3. Brand Engagement and Capacity Building

  • Support Oxfam affiliates—particularly in the Global South—in developing and implementing national brand strategies aligned with the global Oxfam brand.
  • Provide capacity building, training, and induction on brand and content standards to strengthen brand culture and storytelling capabilities.
  • Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on brand performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making.

4. Governance and Risk Management

  • Lead the implementation and socialization of Global Content Standards, including regarding ethical storytelling, safeguarding and child protection. Ensure Ethical Content Guidelines remain current.
  • Identify and manage content-related risks, including regarding trademarks and licensing, and ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and brand protection standards.
  • Lead, manage and contribute to Oxfam International’s Annual and Trustee Reports.
  • Manage Oxfam’s global trademarks and brand assets (e.g., logos, fonts, templates).
