What you will drive

Avendris Foundation is seeking volunteer Board Members to help guide and support a growing nonprofit organization focused on workforce development, sustainability, entrepreneurship education, public health awareness, agriculture education, and community development initiatives serving underserved communities in the United States, Liberia, and underserved African communities. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about ethical leadership, community impact, education, sustainability, workforce advancement, and long-term organizational development. Board Members will help support the organization’s governance, strategic direction, fundraising growth, community partnerships, and mission development while helping ensure strong accountability, transparency, and nonprofit best practices. Responsibilities may include: participating in quarterly board meetings supporting organizational governance and strategic planning assisting with fundraising and partnership development providing professional expertise and community insight supporting nonprofit compliance and accountability helping strengthen programs and community impact initiatives serving as ambassadors for the organization’s mission Areas of expertise currently sought include: nonprofit governance accounting or finance workforce development public health or healthcare agriculture and sustainability education community development grant development entrepreneurship international development Ideal candidates should demonstrate professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and commitment to community-focused service and ethical nonprofit leadership. Previous board experience is helpful but not required. Training and onboarding support may be available for qualified candidates interested in helping build a mission-driven organization with long-term impact goals.
