BESS Engineer III (Remote)

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for utility-scale projects.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and oversight across electrical, civil, structural, SCADA, and HV engineering scopes.
• Manage Engineers of Record and third-party engineering partners to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contracts and regulations.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and testing, including field issue resolution and design clarifications.

This role accelerates the transition to renewable energy by designing and optimizing battery storage systems that enhance grid reliability and enable greater integration of solar and wind power, directly contributing to climate change mitigation.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems, including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection equipment.
• Proficiency in power system analysis tools (PSS/E, PSCAD) and simulation tools; knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IBC, etc.).

Compensation Range: $99,552.00 - $124,440.00 (Salary)
