BESS Engineer I (Remote)

• Review and support the design and engineering of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with contracts, utilities, and AHJ requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers of record, third-party partners, fire protection engineers, and local authorities to ensure timely delivery and safety compliance.
• Provide technical oversight during procurement, support construction with field issue resolution, and assist with testing, commissioning, and energization.

This role supports the deployment of utility-scale battery storage, enabling greater integration of renewable energy and contributing to grid stability and decarbonization.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Knowledge of BESS design, integration, optimization, and applicable codes (NEC, IEEE, IBC, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam; familiarity with SCADA and communication protocols (IEC 61850).
