Backend Engineer

Backend engineer building and maintaining digital health tools for cardiovascular disease and hypertension management across public health programs.
- Develop and maintain backend systems for Simple (Ruby), DHIS2 (Java), and H360TK (Python) platforms serving millions of patients.
- Write Python integration scripts, manage PostgreSQL databases, and support production environments for healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with program teams and country partners to develop features, fix bugs, and improve system reliability and scalability.
- Requires 2–4 years professional Python experience and strong backend development skills in production environments.
- Preferred: Java experience, open-source contributions, health information systems knowledge, or machine learning familiarity.
