Associate Development Director

• Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising strategy with emphasis on major gifts, annual giving, and donor engagement.
• Coordinate donor appeals, maintain donor relations, and oversee database management.
• Identify grant opportunities, write applications, and ensure timely reporting.
• Plan 1-2 in-person fundraising events annually.

This role directly supports Black liberation and self-determination by securing resources for BLUU's spiritual community, worship, organizing, and youth ministry, amplifying Black voices within Unitarian Universalism.

• Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience with progressively responsible direct asks and donor cultivation.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of Unitarian Universalist practices and success in strategic fundraising within a religious organization.
• Strong writing, copy editing, and CRM skills; experience with Google Workspace and remote/hybrid work.

Salary range $85,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Generous benefits include health, dental, long-term disability, and retirement.
