Application Engineer

• Lead technical development of project-specific Power Quality/FACTS solutions for utility, renewables, and industry customers across Australia, including pre-sales support and power system studies.
• Drive evaluation of new technologies and coordinate introduction of new systems in the Australian market, working with Product Management and Global Competency Centers.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers, EPCs, consultants, AEMO, and TNSPs to understand needs and manage risks.
• Support product marketing and industry marketing plans, participate in industry forums and conferences to promote new technologies.

This role enables the integration of renewable energy into the power grid by providing technical solutions for system strength and grid code compliance, directly supporting the energy transition and sustainable energy goals.

• Master’s in electrical engineering (preferably in Power Systems).
• 10 years of experience in tender/project work within FACTS or Power Electronics application for transmission applications.
• Knowledge and experience in power electronics applications, system design, calculations, analysis, and simulations; familiarity with converter technology based on multilevel voltage source converter (VSC).
• Proficiency in engineering tools such as PSSE, DigSilent Power Factory, PSCAD/EMTDC; experience with control systems and grid code compliance (NER, GPS, R2).
