How to Apply for Analyst, Technology Operations - Governance
at Earthjustice
🏢 About Earthjustice
Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization, fighting for a healthy planet and a just future. With a mission to leverage the power of law to protect wildlife, natural resources, and communities from climate change and pollution, Earthjustice offers a unique opportunity to combine technical skills with environmental advocacy.
About This Role
As an Analyst in Technology Operations - Governance, you will be the frontline defender of Earthjustice's information governance and privacy, ensuring that sensitive data is protected while enabling the organization's mission. Your work directly supports legal teams by maintaining compliance and operational efficiency, making you a critical partner in the fight for environmental justice.
💡 A Day in the Life
You'll start your day by triaging new escalations from legal teams and end-users regarding data governance issues, such as misclassified records or potential data leaks. You'll then collaborate with vendors to configure a new DLP rule, document requirements for a privacy tool implementation, and prepare a compliance report for the next team meeting. Throughout the day, you'll answer questions from staff about records retention policies and ensure that governance tools are running smoothly.
